Hacthel, Andrews Lead Harvard

Senior distance runner, Michelle Hachtel along with pole vaulter Kelsey Andrews would account for all the scoring during the 2012 Twin Valley Conference track and field meet, held in Shelton, Saturday, April 28.

Hachtel, battling in a tough group of distance runners would earn a pair of TVC medals during her final run in the conference meet, placing second in the eight-lap 3,200-meter run and gaining third place in the 1,600-meter run.

Franklin’s Jaylin Randall would earn top honors in the 3,200 with a time of 12 minutes, 49.0 seconds. Hachtel trailed Randall with a time of 13:07.0.

Franklin’s Kelsey and Jaylin Randall would be the only two in front of Hachtel in the 1,600-meter run as the Randall’s turned in times of 5:28.82 and 5:51.98, while Hachtel’s time of 5:59.02 would earn her third place honors in the event.

Andrews would gain third place honors in the pole vault for the Lady Cardinals by clearing 6’ 0” in the event.
