Coming off the two run loss to O’Neill Saturday, D-E would take out the frustrations of that loss on Crofton Sunday in the Creighton tournament’s consolation title game to the tune of a 10-1 win over Crofton in a game that produced a 12-6 hit advantage for D-E.
Andrew Kuta would managed the D-E offense from the mound the entire game, giving up the six Crofton hits and lone run of the game.Kuta also sat down 12 Crofton batters via the strikeout, while issuing four walks in the game.
D-E eliminated all their error’s from game one to jump back into the win column and improve to 11-2 with the win.
Runs by Van Cleef, Tegtmeier, Holeman and Kuta would get D-E off to a big start in the game to gain a 4-0 lead early.
