Down 21-0 with seconds remaining in the first half, the Sandy Creek Cougars were one yard away from their first score of the game with a fresh set of downs.
Coming off a late game win over the Sutton Mustangs just a week prior, Sandy Creek hit the field for their second home game of the season, entertaining the Gibbon Buffaloes in C1-6 District action.
The battle tested Lady Cougars took to the road once again Saturday, headed west to challenge the field at the Adams Central Invite.
