County Accepts Settlement Agreement

A lawsuit against Clay County and Sheriff Jeff Franklin, filed on Sept. 8, 2010 was acted upon at the Clay County Board of Supervisors meeting last Tuesday.

Clay County Health Dept. Statistics Released

The following statistics are released for the Clay County Health Department for fiscal year 2010-2011.  The Health Department made 703 visits (skilled nursing and aide) during the year.  162 additional aide visits were made as a branch office for Mary Lanning Home Health and Hospice.  Total visits were 865.

Ulmers to National Bowling Tournament

Despite bowling for about 25 years, including various events with his children, to make the National level of a bowling tournament is something that Lavern Ulmer thought would never happen.

Sutton Council to Help Purchase Ambulance

Representatives from the Sutton EMTs and ambulance department attended the Sutton city council meeting last Tuesday night, requesting assistance with purchasing a new ambulance.

LEPC Meeting Held in Glenvil Last Wednesday

The Clay County Local Emergency Planning Committee met in Glenvil last Wednesday, discussing a number of updates and sharing information regarding emergency preparedness and response.
