Harvard’s Dallas Doupnik would lead a trio of Harvard golfers during action at the Sutton Invitational Golf Tournament, held Tuesday, May 2 at the Fox Hollow Golf Course.
Paced by a pair of gold medal performances by senior Michelle Hachtel, the Harvard Lady Cardinals’ track team turned in their biggest scoring day of the season while taking part in the 2012 Russ Snyder Invitational, hosted by Lawrence-Nelson High School.
Led by a high flying performance by sophomore Joshua McDowell and earned medals by all three relay teams, the Harvard Cardinal track team gained a total of 11 medals during action at the Russ Snyder Invitational, held at Sandy Creek High School, May 3.
Following a disappointing 10-stroke loss just five days prior to taking on the field at the Hastings St. Cecilia Invitational, the Sutton Golf team rebounded from that loss to Aurora at the Aurora Invitational with a four stroke win over Bishop Neumann of Wahoo to capture the St. Cecilia team title April 26.
In meet that was completely dominated by the Fillmore Central girls, beating second place Sandy Creek by 98 team points, Sutton freshman, Delaney Lemkau, earned three individual medals and was part of second place 3,200-meter relay team, would held the Fillies gain 31 team points, good enough for eighth place in the Southern Nebraska Conference meet, held Saturday in Sutton.
