Clay County runners Neal Schlautman and Dawn Claus took to the streets of Lincoln, along with over 4,000 other runners, during the running of the Lincoln Half-Marathon, Sunday, May 4.
Both ended up in the top five of their respective age groups during the event, with Schlautman placing fifth overall in the men’s 60-year-old division. Claus was third overall in the women’s 60-year-old division.
Schlautman finished the race in a time of one hour, 42.01 minutes to place 399th out of 2,096 total men in the event. He was 420th out of 4,383 total runners taking part in the half-marathon.
Claus’ third-place run in her age division came in a time of 1:51.20, placing her 235th out of 2,284 women who took part in the annual race.
