University of Nebraska-Lincoln

The University of Nebraska- Lincoln conferred 3,681 degrees during commencement exercises May 3, 16, and 17.

The 3,591 graduates are from 57 countries, 46 U.S. states and 250-plus Nebraska communities.

A ceremony for College of Law graduates took place May 3 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts; a ceremony for students earning graduate and professional degrees occurred May 16 at Pinnacle Bank Arena; and two ceremonies for undergraduates were May 17 at the arena. Chancellor Rodney D. Bennett presided over the ceremonies.

Students from Clay County include:

• Clay Center: Maryn Lee Martin, College of Architecture, Bachelor of Science in Design with distinction.

• Edgar: Jake Wendell Shuck, College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness.

• Harvard: Ashley Ruth Nierman, College of Business,

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with highest distinction.

• Sutton: Maury Reyes, College of Business, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; John Erik Sheridan, College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, Bachelor of Science in Agronomy; and Eli Joseph Skalka, College of Education and Human Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Education and Human Sciences.

• Trumbull: Grant Steven Turner, College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics.
