Harvard’s City Council meeting May 27 was brief and to the point.
Within the 17 minutes before going into executive session, council members unanimously accepted the May 21 resignation letter from Harvard Police Chief Wayne Alley.
Council members also approved applications for the pool.
Harvard Pool Co-Managers Faith Pair and Alyssa Ferguson said they received 10 applications for the pool this summer, which will be nice because then they have more options to rotate staff to cover shifts.
Along with the pool, the council also approved Xavier Marburger to take an online swimming pool operator class for $40. This will allow Marburger to cover for Pair or Ferguson, should they be gone.
In other business, council members hired Tristan Kleinschmit as the new Harvard City Superintendent, as well as opened sealed bids for a retired city lawnmower and approved a bid for $3,500.
