So. Central earns 13-9, 19-4 wins over Post 171
A double-header road game at Milford June 5 resulted in big wins for the South Central Post 256 Juniors. In the opening inning, South Central had three players cross home plate. That is until, in the bottom of the second, when seven Post 171 players scored, taking the 7-4 lead heading into the top of the third. South Central wasn’t about to let them take the win, however, as nine players burst out the gates. With only two of Post 171 players making runs in the bottom of the third, So. Central earned the 13-9 win.
Wyatt Livgren and Grayhm Beck led with three runs each, earning three hits, while teammate Wyatt Hemberger had two runs.
A group of So. Central players had one run to aid in the win, including Kolton Menke, Josh Spray, Chase Batterman, Justin Sharp, and Alex Watts.
Sharp pitched for two innings, allowing one hit, two runs, and struck out two. Pitching for one inning was Gus Harrison, who allowed two hits, seven runs, and struck out three.
