The South Central Junior Legion baseball team ran their season record to 6-2 overall with a doubleheader sweep of the Lincoln Stratojets squad Saturday, June 14.
The first game was one of total domination by the South Central crew, winning 24-9 in three innings.
South Central outhit Lincoln 13-5, led by Wyatt Livgren, who was 3-5 at the plate with three singles and a pair of runs batted in.
Josh Spray was 2-2 with a double and a single with one run batted in, while Grayhm Beck and Jace Hoelting both collected a pair of singles, with Beck driving in two runs, and Hoelting three.
Rounding out the hitting attack were Justin Sharp, Kolten Menke, Chase Batterman, and Alex Watts, with one single for each.
The game stood at a 10-9 South Central lead after two innings of play, but a scoring explosion by South Central in the third posted 14 runs on the scoreboard to secure the 15-run victory.
Wyatt Hemberger earned the win on the mound, as in one and a third innings of work, Hemberger struck out one, while allowing just one hit. Menke opened the game by walking three, struck out two and allowed four hits and nine runs.

To close out the twinbill, South Central scored at a steady pace in the five-inning battle to pick up a 15-8 win.
South Central led 8-6 after three innings of play and then scored twice in the fourth and five times in the fifth to pick up the seven run win.
Watts and Wyatt Livgren both had two hits, with Watts gaining a pair of singles, while Livgren doubled and singled.
Hemberger was 1-1 at the plate, while driving in two runs, while Jace Hoelting drove in four runs on a single.

Wyatt Livgren earned the win again, walking four, striking out three, while allowing nine hits and six runs. Joel Hoelting walked three, struck out one, and allowed one run on one hit in relief.
