This battle proved to be a little more of an easy win over the Patriots, as Saronville grabbed an early 5-2 lead after the first inning and never looked back.
Saronville struck for one more run in the third and three in the fifth to post a 9-2 win and set a date with York in the title tilt.
Koch’s bat was hot for the Shiners, going 3-3 at the plate with one run driven in.
Wehrman was 1-3 with a two-run triple, while Jones crushed a two-run double.
Adding to the mix were Kyler Ely, Brooks and Kellen Ebert, and Brockett Reed, who all singled, with Reed and Kellen Ebert driving in one run each.
Jones controlled Grand Island on the mound, as he walked four, struck out three, and allowed two runs on three hits. Brooks Ebert also manned the hill in the win. Ebert didn’t yield a walk, he struck out three, and allowed three hits without giving up a run.
