The horse arena at the Clay County Fairgrounds July 11 was full of activity, as 12 teams entered the annual Ranch Rodeo at the Clay County Fair. Of the 12 teams, four were local, including two from Glenvil, one from Fairfield, and one from Lawrence. Above, team members from the C Bar C team of Fairfield try to rope a cow during the opening event. Members include Connor Crumbliss, CJ Rains, Colton Thornburg, and Casey Daniel. At the right, a team member from Diamond W Ranch of Glenvil, goes to mark a cow during the calf branding event. Members include Cody Webb, Jarod Taylor, Justin Wolfe, and Chance Liggett.
