By the end of the seven-inning game Monday, Sutton and Wilber Post 101 were tied, 6-6.
Sutton earned the first runs of the game, scoring three in the first inning, leaving Wilber scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning.
Wilber then added three runs of their own, while in the fifth inning, Sutton gained one run and Wilber, two.
A final push from both teams had Wilber adding one more run in the bottom of the sixth, while Sutton gained two in the top of the seventh, ending in a tie.
Caleb Reiners, Weston Ohrt, Cash Parrish, DJ Hajny, Treven Stassiness, and Cody Funk earned one run each.
Sutton went to bat 26 times, having seven hits, eight players walking, and striking out 10 times.
On the mound for Sutton were four players, including Aidan Jones, who pitched for four-and-a-third innings; Ohrt and Funk for one inning each; and Reiners for two-thirds of an inning.
Jones allowed two hits, five runs, and two walks, striking out three. Ohrt didn’t allow a hit or run, but did allow two walks and struck out two.
Reiners and Funk each allowed one hit, while Reiners had one runner and two walks. Funk struck out one.

Sutton will gear up for Class C Area-5 District tournament in Albion, July 25-29, before returning home to host the Class C state tournament Saturday, Aug. 2 through Wednesday, Aug. 6.
