Powered by a three-hit, one-run win on the pitchers mound by Weston Ohrt, the Sutton Senior Legion baseball team ran their season record to 20-12 with a 7-1 win over Twin River (Genoa) at DLD Park in Sutton, Wednesday, July 16.
Ohrt struck out seven and walked just three in the win as he threw 63 strikes through out his seven-inning, 95 pitch outing.
Sutton’s offense tallied four runs in the first inning and three more in the sixth frame to gain the six-run win.
Cash Parrish was 2-4 at the plate, while driving in two runs on his two singles, while Aidan Jones drove in one run with a double.
Adding to the hitting barrage, that would see Sutton outhit Twin River 7-3 Ohrt and Treven Stassiness both drove in one run on a single, while Payton Reed and Carson Mau also singled in the game.
