About dozen children took a break from the afternoon sun and attended a special program at the Clay Center Public Library, Wednesday, July 16.
They read the “How to be a Friend,” by Laurie Kransy Brown and Marc Brown, and then librarians and kids discussed how to be a good friend by helping, encouraging, and accepting each others’ differences.
The activity was a tremendous success as they painted rocks to give to someone, place in a rock garden, or keep as a reminder we are all friends and to be kind.
