Triple F Festival activities begin early Saturday, Aug. 16, in Fairfield with the city-wide garage sales from 7 a.m.-1 p.m.
Registration for the “Through the Years” parade starts at 8:30 a.m., at the auditorium, with the parade beginning at 9 a.m. The route takes participants from the auditorium to the city park.
The Presbyterian Church will be hosting a baking sale from 9 a.m.-noon. Also at 9 a.m. the sand volleyball tournament will begin at the park.
A car show at the old school parking lot off 9th Street will go from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
A touch-a-truck contest on 9th Street will start at 1 p.m., and then, at 2 p.m., there will be a Firemen’s Water Fight on 9th Street north of the park.
Friends of the Fairfield Library will host bingo at the auditorium at 3:30 p.m.
Beginning at 5 p.m. is a beer garden on Main Street, as well as a Fairfield Baseball fundraiser, complete with a steak sandwich, hamburgers, and hot dogs. The fundraiser goes until 8 p.m.
Starting at 8 p.m., the BJ Jamison Band will perform. Entry into the concert is free.
Many food trucks will be at the city park throughout the day, including: Rio’s (breakfast), 8-11 a.m.; Boy Scout’s pancakes, 8-10 a.m.; Back Alley Bakery, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; Holy Ground Coffee, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; and Paradise Eats, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
