When Harvard earned its first touchdown Sept. 5 at Bartley, Southwest already had 36 points on the board.
The Southwest Roughriders earned those 36 points in the first quarter, leaving Harvard scoreless.
In the second quarter, a Jett Zeckser to Pedro Perez pass resulted in a Cardinal touchdown. By halftime, Southwest led 56-6.
A final push in the third quarter saw Harvard gain a touchdown by Blayden Porter with eight seconds left.
The Roughriders earned 13 points in the third, ending the game 69-12.
Zeckser led Harvard’s passing game with two complete passes on seven attempts for 73 yards. Perez completed one of three passes for three yards.
On the receiving end were Perez, receiving one pass for 63 yards; Cohen Reutzel, one catch for 10 yards; and Zeckser, one catch for three yards.
Overall, Harvard had 104 rushing yards, led by Porter with eight carries for 48 yards. Perez had seven carries for 29 yards, while Sebastian Rodriguez had six carries for 23 yards.
Reutzel led in tackles with six, all assisted; teammate Rodriguez had five tackles, three assisted and two solo.
