A couple of John Deere tractors owned by Jack and Judy Beck of Weeping Water joined the sea of green during Old Trusty Sept. 6-7, which featured John Deere tractors and equipment.

Their 1930 John Deere “GP” Standard tractor was purchased by the Beck’s July 21, 2021, from Jerry Litjen of David City, on an online auction.

Constructed from Aug. 2, 1928 to March 4, 1935, this particular tractor was shipped to the Omaha Branch Warehouse Jan. 28, 1930, and was then shipped to Hazard’s John Deere Dealership.

The GP Standard was designed to plant and cultivate three rows of crops at a time.
