The Sutton Fillies golf team hit the road for a rare Saturday tournament this past weekend, heading to the Friend Country Club for action in the nine-team EMF tournament, Sept. 13.
After 18 holes of play, the Fillies stood alone in the runner-up spot as a team, trailing only Aurora in the final standings, as the Huskies outscored Sutton 372-397.
Paving the way for Sutton as fifth place medalist, Mia Ochsner with an 88, as Ochsner shot scores of 44 during both rounds of play on the day.
Winning the individual title was Mia Hiebner of H&H, as Hiebner finished the day with a 75.
Rounding out the day were three other medalists, as Shepleigh Ohrt shot a 99 to place seventh. Ohrt opened the day with a 50 on the front nine and finished her day with a 49. Aniston Jasnoch finished ninth with a 102, shooting scores of 51 during both rounds of the tournament.
Laurel Moore finished the day with a 14th-place 108, with scores of 56 on the front nine and 52 on the back nine, while Breckyn Peterson finished the day with a 115, with scores of 57 on the front and 58 on the back.
