The Sandy Creek volleyball team, behind three big wins at the Sterling Round Robin tournament Saturday, Sept. 27, pushed their season record to 12-6 on the year.

Wins came over Sterling, 25-5, and 25-14, over Wilber- Clatonia, 25-17, and 25-23, and over Palmyra, 22-25, 2521, and 25-19.

Against Sterling, the Cougars hit at a .404 clip as a team and gained 24 total kills, led by Paige Biltoft with six kills, Claire Williamson with five, Collins Huble with four, and Emma Fisher with three.

Katelyn Pohlmeier put up 21 total assists to the SC hitting crew.

In the service lane, Lillian Everson had four aces, Katelyn Pohlmeier added three, and Hubl, two.

Defensively in the sweep of the Jets, Kyler Hegemann gained a team-high two blocks, Hubl gained five digs, while Carrigan Rempe finished with three.

Fisher paced Sandy Creek on the attack with seven kills. Williamson gained three kills, while Katelyn Pohlmeier and Anna Paus both added two.

Katelyn Pohlmeier dished up 12 assists in the win.

Serving leaders proved to be Rempe with three aces, and Emersyn Pohlmeier with two.

On the defensive side of the net, Emersyn Pohlmeier gained 13 digs, while Rempe finished with 10, and Fisher with nine.

Paige Biltoft had three of Sandy Creek’s six blocks in the win.

Fisher led the team in serving with three of Sandy Creek’s six aces in the match, while Everson finished the match with two, and Rempe with one.

On the attack, Fisher also led the way with 12 kills while hitting .222. She was followed by six kills from Paige Biltoft and three more kills from Katelyn Pohlmeier and Paus. As a team, Sandy Creek hit .176 and downed 28 kills.

Katelyn Pohlmeier had a team-high 21 assists in the match to guide her hitting attack.

Defensively, Sandy Creek had 10 blocks, as Paige Biltoft and Williamson both had three, while Fisher and Caitlyn Biltoft had to each.

Dig leaders were Emersyn Pohlmeier with 15, Fisher with 11, and Katelyn Pohlmeier with 10.
