County fire departments hosted fire safety days for students at Harvard, Sandy Creek, and Sutton schools Oct. 7, 8 & 10. At the left, Harvard students look at the gear a firefighter wears when going to a fire. In the center, Adam Ochsner helps a Sandy Creek preschooler knock down a cone using a hose. At the right, Sutton students watch as a water-based smoke fills the room, giving them an idea of what would happen if their house was on fire. Students were then shown how to properly exit the area.
