Harvard sophomore Brexten Kobza extended his cross country season one more week with a Top-10 run during action at the Class D-4 District meet, Thursday, Oct. 16, at Camp Kateri, south of McCool Junction.
Kobza finished the boys 5000-meter race with an eighth-place time of 18 minutes, 12.19 seconds.
Kaser Johnson of Doniphan- Trumbull topped the boys’ race with a winning time of 16:23.55.
Teammate Westen Niemoth finished the distance race with a time of 22:28.66 to finished in 56th place overall.
For the Cardinal girls, Avery Verhage had a top 30 finish for Harvard, placing 29th overall with her time of 26:25.61.
Kobza will take part in the Class D boys state meet race Friday, Oct. 24, which is slated to start at 1 p.m.
