Edgar residents voted yes to a city sales and use tax and lottery in a special election Oct. 14.
Unofficial results showed 84 people voted yes to having a tax, while 56 said no.
For the lottery, 110 voted yes and 29 voted no. Statistically, there were 273 ballots issued and 140 ballots cast, for a 51 percent voter turnout.
