Mau wins CCN grid contest with just one miss during week 10

Sutton’s Brent Mau picked up a win during the Clay County News’ week-10 Pigskin Picks football contest, missing just one pick to outlast a group of four players that missed two guesses last week.

Mau predicted a Nebraska victory over USC, when in fact the Huskers went down to the Trojans 21-17 in a tough Big-10 Conference showdown this past Saturday night.

Mau outlasted Gabe Skalka, Susan Spongberg, Doug George, and Todd Hofmann, with Skalka topping the group of two misses, missing the tie-breaker by nine points. He predicted that the Sandy Creek/ Wisner-Pilger game would produce 66 points, when in fact, Sandy Creek’s 51-6 win over the Gators tallied 57 total points.

Spongberg missed the tie-breaker by 10 points, George by 13, and Hofmann by 27.
