Harvard Lighting Ceremony is Friday

Harvard’s Community Lighting Event is set for Friday, Dec. 5, at the Community Room.

From 6-7 p.m., food will be served and there will be cookies to decorate.

Then, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Santa will be available for visits, and Modern Mrs. will be giving a gift to each child from birth to fifth grade. Both will be located at 215 N Harvard Ave.

From 6:30-7:45 p.m., stop by the fire department to meet the firefighters; the Harvard Girl Scouts will have their annual candy cane hunt; and join in on caroling with the Harvard Public School Music Department downtown.

Story Time with Mrs. Claus will begin at 7:15 p.m., with the official lighting ceremony set for 7:30 p.m., on Main Street.

Hayrides will follow the lighting ceremony.
