All three of Clay County’s schools are set for holiday tournament action, beginning Monday, Dec. 29.
SUTTON
The Sutton Fillies and Mustangs will travel to Mead High School for holiday tournament action, Monday, Dec. 29, and Tuesday, Dec. 30 The Fillies will take on Mead at 4 p.m., Dec. 29, while the boys will take on Mead at 6 p.m., both in the main gyms.
In the other game, Archbishop Bergen will take on Osceola in the Mead Auxiliary Gym, also at 4 and 6 p.m.
Games for the girls will play at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, and for the boys, games will be played at 6 p.m.
SANDY CREEK
Both Sandy Creek teams head to Grand Island Central Catholic for tournament action, with games scheduled for 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Teams in the tournament include: the host Crusaders, Minden, North Platte St. Pat’s, and the Cougars.
Both teams will face Central Catholic in the first round, with the girls game at 6 p.m., and the boys game at 7:30 p.m.
GILTNER/HARVARD The Giltner/Harvard girls are set to take on Wauneta- Palisade in a first-round game at 5 p.m. in Wilcox, while the boys will take on Wilcox-Hildreth in the first round at 6:30 p.m.
With a first-round win, the G/H girls will face either Kenesaw or Wilcox Hildreth on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 5 p.m. A loss for G/H will pit them against the loser of the Kenesaw or Wilcox Hildreth game at 5 p.m.
For the boys, a win over Wilcox-Hildreth will pair them up with either Wauneta- Palisade or Kenesaw at 6:30 p.m., a loss will have G/H playing at 6:30 p.m.
