The Sutton Trap team had a big day on the shooting range this past Saturday, April 11, as a total of seven trophies were earned by the Sutton squad at the Crooked Creek Gun Club near Stockham.
From the 16-yard mark, Aniston Jasnoch was the high overall female shooter, hitting on 46 of 50 targets from that range. Overall, Jasnoch is also the female champion following her handicap shoot, where she hit on 41 of 50. In total, Jasnoch nailed 87 of 100 total targets to win the overall female championship.
Jasnoch also joined forces with Elsa Andersen to win the ladies’ team competition, as they combined to hit on 170 of 200 total targets.
Gavin VanderLey nabbed three different trophies, sharing one with teammates Davin Higby, Cameron Wilson, Jesse Mohnike, and Cord Pope, as the group of five Sutton shooters won the high team handicap shoot by hitting on 215 total targets out of 250 total shots.
VanderLey and Wilson tied for top honors in the male handicap shoot, as they were both 47-50. VanderLey also tied with Gibbon’s Wyatt Debrie for the male high overall shooting day, as both shot 95 out of 100 Saturday.
Wilson claimed top honors from the 20-21 yard mark in handicapp shooting with his 47-50 shooting effort.
Leading the Sutton junior squad was Grayson Villarreall, as he connected on 43 of 50 targets from the 16-yard mark.
