19 county student-athletes earn all-state honorable mention in basketball

A total of 19 Clay County student-athletes were honored this past weekend by the Omaha World-Herald for their efforts on the basketball court during the 2025-26 season.

Sutton placed five girls and three boys on the OWH honors list. For the girls, Avery Smith, Kyla Griess, Miranda Nuss, Jadlynn Kinney, and Isabella Trejo were selected as Class D-1 honorable mention selections, while for the Mustangs, in Class C-2, Payton Reed, Jacob Huxoll, and Myles Smith earned honorable mention picks.

Sandy Creek landed seven on the OWH honors list. The girls honored in Class C-2, included Emma Fisher, Madison Shaw, and Carrigan Rempe, while the boys landed four players on the Class C-2 honorable mention picks list, including Kamerin Sealey, Logan Tomky, Wes Biltoft, and Christian Shaw.

Giltner/Harvard totaled four players on the OWH list, including three girls: Tabi Forney, Peyton Schutt, and Avery Reeson, while for the boys, Braxton Cady earned honorable mention honors.
