Farmers and ranchers across Nebraska have been in full gear planting crops, as the growing season is officially in progress statewide. Above, a local producer near Sutton runs full speed ahead with his planting. Because of the severe drought conditions, producers unfortunately had to gear up center pivots to try and fight back against the abnormally dry field conditions throughout the county and state, including the pivot shown in the left photo southeast of Sutton.
