The Sutton Senior Legion baseball team ran their season record to 17-9 after blasting the Tri County-Meridian Seniors at Tri County High School south of DeWitt.
Sutton outhit TC-Meridian 18-5 and was powered by a huge night at the plate by Michael Lockhart, who drove in six runs while hammering out a pair of home runs and a single in a 16-2 victory.
Weston Ohrt also had an impressive night at the plate, pounding out a triple, a double and a single with one run driven in.
Aidan Banta was 3-4 with a run driven in. Cash Parrish drove in two runs on a trio of singles, while DJ Hajny and Camden Temme both gained a pair of singles each.
Rounding out the hit parade for the Mustangs were Brody Borgmann and Cale Nuss, as both had one single in the win.
Ohrt earned the win on the pitchers mound. In five innings of work, Ohrt walked just one, struck out four, and allowed the two runs on six hits.
