The Sutton Junior Legion baseball team had their season come to a crashing halt Tuesday, July 15, as the Hebron Juniors, behind a no-hit pitching effort from a pair of Hebron pitchers claimed a 12-0 win, ending Sutton’s season with a 20-9-1 record.
Hebron claimed the big win by out-hitting Sutton 130, as Hebron drove in 11 of their 12 runs by way of three doubles and 10 singles in the victory.
Kellen Ebert took the loss on the mound for Sutton, as he walked one, struck out one, and gave up nine runs on eight hits. Michael Lockhart pitched for an inning and a third, giving up three runs on five hits while walking three and striking out nine.
Hebron had 15 more at bats in the game, as Hebron was 13-37 at the plate, while Sutton was 0-22.
