Bo Petr of Clay Center capped his summer golf season on the Nebraska Junior Golf Tour early last week by claiming fourth-place honors in the 14-15-year-old age group to cap his season.
Petr fired a seven-over-par 79 to finish in sole possession of fourth place. Grand Island’s Patrick Vilai shot a one-over-par 73 to win the age group state championship, while Lincoln’s Matthew Larreau, and Elkhorn’s Brady Zehnder finished in a two-way tie for second place, as both fired scores of six over par, to finish with a 78 for each.
