Fairfield resident, Steven A. “Steve” Anthony, 56, passed away Monday, November 17, 2014, at Bryan Medical Center West, Lincoln, Nebraska. Memorial services were Friday, November 21, 2014, 10:00 a.m., at Butler Volland Chapel, Hasting, with Pastor Fred Berry officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation was Thursday, November 20, 2014, 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., with family present 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date, c/o Christina Davison, 1225 N. Elm Avenue, Hastings, Nebraska 68901. Steve was an organ donor, in order to help others, and his wishes were to be cremated. Private condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family. Steve was born to Merle and Berdella (Farley) Anthony on February 19, 1958, in Carroll, Iowa. He worked at Fairfield Coop. Steve was involved with the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department and was a former fire chief. He was a junior firefighter in York, Nebraska. Steve loved spending time with friends, family and his German Shepherd, IROC. Steve was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister, Arlene. Survivors include: sister; Barb Peterson of York, NE. Daughters and sons-in-law: Tessa and Trent Sadd of Hastings, NE; Christina and Christopher Davison of Bertrand, NE; Roxann and Brad Bieck of Clay Center, NE; Celeste and Daniel Niemoth of Rock Springs, WY; and Maria Nejezchleb of Lincoln, NE. Son and Daughter-in-law: Eric and Amanda Nejezchleb of Deweese, NE. Grandchildren: Clayton Pavelka, Amber Pavelka, Judd Albers, Tristen Davison, Andrew Sadd, Skeet Sadd, Gabby Sadd, Briley Bieck, Kinsley Nejezchleb. Niece: Michele Kuta. Nephew: Dane Steube. Special friend and son: Bridget Kenley and Blake Kenley.
