Sutton resident Elmer Dale Robinson Jr., 68, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015, at the Henderson Care Center in Henderson, NE. Funeral services will be 100 a.m., Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the Federated Church in Sutton, NE, with Rev. Harry Cross officiating. Interment will follow at the Sutton Cemetery in Sutton, NE. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 3-8 p.m., with the family present from 6-8 p.m., at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton, NE. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Sutton Volunteer Fire Department. Condolences may be left at www.sutttonmemorial.com. Dale was born November 17, 1946, in Hastings, NE to Elmer Sr. and Alta (Willcock) Robinson. He received his education in Sutton and graduated from Sutton High School in 1966. He furthered his education at Central Community College in Hastings, NE, and graduated with a degree in Metal Technology in 1968. Dale was employed with Burlington Northern Railroad as a Machine Operator for 45 years. In June of 1968, he was drafted into the United States Navy and served until he was honorably discharged in April of 1974. He was a member of the Sutton Federated Church and the Sutton Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Elaine Robinson of Sutton, NE; two nephews, Jeremy (Dana) Robinson of Sutton, NE; Michael (Cynthia) Robinson of Glenpool, OK; niece, Amanda (Mitch) Lichti of Lincoln, NE; uncle, Donald Robinson; and daughter, Sherry of Hastings, NE; and several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne, and sister, Karen.
