Sutton resident Charles “Chuck” Wesley Irwin, 68, passed away Sunday, March 29, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 18, at the Sutton Cemetery, with Pastor Bill Richards officiating. No visitation, as cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Condolences may be left at www.suttonmemorial.com Chuck was born December 17, 1946, in Sidney, NE, to Robert and Mildred (Witters) Irwin. He received his education in Sidney and graduated from Sidney High School. He drove his own truck for many years and was employed as a truck driver with George Brothers for the last two and a half years. On July 4, 2012, he married Carla Sterns in Sutton, NE. Chuck was a member of 4-H as a child and enjoyed playing cards, working outside and telling jokes. He was taken from us too soon and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Carla of Sutton, NE; brothers, Jim and wife Marge Irwin of Gordon, NE; Harold Irwin of New Mexico; stepsons, Russell Sterns and girlfriend, Rebecca, of Lincoln, NE; Travis and Beth Sterns of St. Joseph, MO; Chris and Autumn Sterns of Sutton, NE; six grandchildren, Brittani Sterns, Isaac Sterns, Valyn Sterns, Kryna Sterns; Cassie Sterns and Abby Sterns; great-grandson, Rayden Sterns; sisters-in-law, Luella Simacek of Michigan; Leeanna and husband, Daniel Reed of Ong, NE; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mildred Irwin; sisters, Birdie Verdon and Judy Chapman.
