Harvard resident, Glenda L. Bell, 62, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015, at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village. Memorial services were Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at 10 a.m., at the Harvard United Methodist Church, Harvard, with Pastor Chad Cassel and Pastor Travis King officiating. There will be no visitation, as Glenda’s wishes were to be cremated. Burial will be at a later date. Apfel Funeral Home, Harvard, is in charge of the arrangements.
Condolences may be sent to the family from www. Memorials may be given to the Harvard United Methodist Church. Glenda was born Dec. 21, 1952, to Kermit and Anna (Rothfuss) Gundersen in Hastings. She graduated from Adams Central High School, Hastings. She married David Bell and was the Harvard City Clerk for 35 plus years. Glenda loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, David, of Harvard;
two sons, Robbie (Alma) Svoboda of Hastings and Steve (Melissa) Svoboda of Glenvil; three step-daughters, five grandchildren, Zach, McKenzie, Rachel, Elizabeth and Breanna; two brothers, Doyle Gunder s en, and Waldean Gundersen both of Hastings; and three sisters, Donna Busboom and Virginia Busboom both of Hastings ,and Margaret Piel of Ft. Collins, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Dean, and a step-daughter.
