Four a.m.—jump out of bed, throw on your clothes, brush your teeth and try not to forget your deodorant. 4:30 a.m.—meet at the truck in the hotel parking lot and head for the show grounds. 4:45 a.m.—grain and hay your horse. Remember not to forget her special supplements on her grain and clean her stall while she finishes her breakfast. 5 a.m.—Carefully wrap your horse’s legs with polo wraps and bell boots after picking out her feet and head for the show pen to longe her. 5:30 a.m.—After a good workout, remove leg wraps, grab wash bucket and take your horse to the wash rack to scrub the dirt of her socks, spray the morning’s sweat off her body and wash and condition her mane and tail.
