Hastings resident Loretta Ann Saddler, 73, passed away Thurs., March 3, 2016, at her home. Services were Monday., March 7, 2016, 10:30 a.m., at Evangelical Free Church, Hastings, with Pastor Jay Towell officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Trumbull. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation was Sunday, March 6, 2016, 4–6 p.m., with family present at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Private condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family. Loretta was born Feb. 6, 1943, in Hastings, NE, to Jesse and Bernice (Dunkle) Barnes. She graduated from Clay Center High School and college, where she received her degree in dental assisting. Loretta married Ronald Saddler on April 21, 1963, at the Clay Center Christian Church. Loretta worked for Adams County Senior Services for 26 years. Loretta was a member of the Clay Center Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School for a number of years. She was a Girl Scout Troup leader for 15 years. Loretta was involved in an extension club for 10 years and babysat in her home for many years. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, Robert VonSpreckelsen. Survivors: husband, Ron Saddler of Hastings, NE. Daughters and spouses: Teresa and Pete Dobbs of Wellington, CO; Lori and Brian Fielder of Lincoln, NE; Sonya and Kevin Gabel of Lincoln, NE; and Lindy and Kelly Nickels of Pierce, NE. Grandchildren: Sabrina Fielder, Joshua Saddler, Coren Fielder, Brandon Fielder, Taylor Gabel, Baylee Dobbs and Alynn Nickels. Sister: LaVon VonSpreckelsen of Clay Center, NE. Brother and spouse: Ed and Judy Barnes of Clay Center, NE.
