Playing in the sandbox not just for kids anymore

When one thinks of a sandbox, they might think of children playing at a park, but for Brett Chloupek, it meant a possible learning tool in the classes he teaches.

Chloupek, a Harvard Public School graduate, who teaches Geography at Northwest Missouri State University, said he first saw the augmented reality sandbox when watching a YouTube video of some scholars from the Czech Repulic.

He then later found the work of Dr. Oliver Kreylos, who had developed a more refined sandbox, as well as discovering an open source version of the software the sandbox needs to run on.
