Mass of Christian Burial for Bryan D. Mach, age 56, of Harvard, NE, was Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton, NE. Reverend Jeff Lorig was the Celebrant, with burial in St. Ludger Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m., at the church, with a 7:30 p.m., Wake Service. Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton is in charge of arrangements. Bryan died Saturday, April 8, 2017, at his home. Bryan Del Mach, son of Wesley and Caryl (Ziegler) Mach, was born Oct. 9, 1960, in Creighton, NE. He grew up in Center, NE, and graduated from Creighton High School in 1978. After graduation, Bryan worked for Schmeckpeper Implement in Bloomfield, NE. He then took a position at US Meat Animal Research in Clay Center, NE, where he worked for over 30 years. Bryan was united in marriage to Rita Gragert on Sept. 3, 1983, at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. The couple briefly lived in Glenvil, NE, before moving to Hastings, NE, where they were blessed with two sons. Bryan and his family moved to Harvard, NE in 1991. Bryan was a hard worker and loved to stay busy. He loved helping others and, as a self-taught mechanic, electrician and all-around handyman, he was always the first to lend a hand to friends and family. Bryan loved working on the restoration of his collection of antique John Deere tractors and his ’66 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. He was an avid fan of the Nebraska Cornhusker football team and enjoyed attending games and tailgating with friends and family. Bryan was active in his community through his work with the Harvard Lions Club and also as a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Family and friends were a huge part of Bryan’s life. Family traditions and celebrations were treasured by him. Bryan was very special to those in his life and will be greatly missed. Bryan is survived by his wife, Rita; sons, Travis and Anthony; brothers, Gale (Jeanette) Mach, Arthur (Mary) Mach, Kevin (Kendra) and Jerome “JD” (Krista) Mach; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Caryl Mach; and parents-in-law, Harold and Dolores Gragert.
