Three sentenced May 2

Three persons were sentenced Tuesday, May 2, in Clay County court, with two resulting in imprisonment and the third in probation.

Wesley Steckler, 29, who was arrested on three vehicle thefts near Edgar in January 2017, was sentenced to no less than three years, nor more than four years in jail on a Class II Felony. Steckler was granted credit for the 99 days he’d already served in jail.

Along with the sentencing, he was also ordered to pay $165.25 in court costs, plus any additional transportation costs.
