No decision made at Edgar rezoning public hearing

After hearing many public opinions at a public hearing Thursday, Aug. 3, Edgar’s Zoning and Planning Committee decided to leave its opinion out of the matter of changing the south half of Block 10, Lots 13-24 from urban-residential to commercial.

This change was brought forth beginning in May when Brock Domeier approached the Edgar City Council about building storage units on the lots.

Domeier was turned down because the lots are zoned urban-residential and it has to be commercial before anyone can put a potential business there. The topic was sent to the Zoning and Planning Committee, who disagreed with changing the lots after Edgar citizens offered opposition to the storage units.
