Sutton’s planning and zoning commission forwarded a zoning change option to the Sutton City Council Aug. 7, to approve the construction of a new 21-unit storage unit facility on East Maple Street, during their monthly meeting, Monday, Aug. 13.

Council members took up the change, as proposed by Mark Fehr of Sutton, approving the construction of the new mini-storage facility, which will be located at 1009 East Maple, directly north of Aspegren Repair.

Originally, the land in which Fehr will build the units was zoned residential, and per the suggestion by the Sutton planning and zoning board, council members approved the change of the zoning status from residential to commercial.
