SCH’s Town Hall meeting insightful, draws large crowd

Support, interest, and feedback on the current situation affecting the Sutton Community Home was highlighted during the SCH’s Town Hall meeting Oct. 16, which more than 300 people attended.

SCH Administrator Hannah Elliott informed the crowd that due to last fiscal year’s Medicaid reimbursement rate cut, which plummeted 7.17 percent, tagged along with a significant decrease in census and nursing rates, SCH has found itself in a tough spot. The 7.17 percent cut from the state contributed to “severely depleting the capital funds” SCH had stored away.
