Heat doesn’t disrupt Dugout Days, EdgarFest fun

Despite reaching triple digits on the thermometer, Dugout Days and EdgarFest carried on Friday through Sunday as in year’s past, with several activities lined up, including street dances, carnival rides, bounce houses, parades ,and fireworks. Here, carnival goers hold on tight as they twist in the air on a ride at the Dugout Days carnival Saturday.

LEFT: Grand marshals of the Dugout Days parade are presented with a plaque from Erin Huber, at left. Cheri Rolfes, center, was the selected grand marshal at the 2018 parade; however, due to a sudden downpour and area storms, the parade was canceled. She was honored, along with this year’s grand marshal, the Sutton Garden Club, being represented by Mary Ann Spearman, right.
