Sutton senior Joe Hinrichs capped his high school career with his second state championship Saturday night in Omaha, this year winning the 160-pound class with a 5-3 win in this match over Ord’s Garrett Kluthe. His record-setting career also earned him 171 total wins against just 19 losses, of which 12 of his losses were his freshman year. During his final two years on the mats, Hinrichs was a combined 85-2, and he amassed a 131-7 record since beginning his sophomore year in 2019. TORY DUNCAN | CLAY COUNTY NEWS
