Mary Elise Bohling Crumbliss was born July 16, 1936, in Clay Center to Helen and Wendall Bohling. She passed away May 17, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva. Mary graduated from Hastings High School and from Nebraska Wesleyan University, where she was a member of the Willard Sorority. She taught at Hastings Junior High and Edgar High School. She was a devoted member of the Church of the Plains and very active in the Central NE Presbytery. Mary was a member of Chapter AA PEO and Eastern Star Chapter 268. She was a volunteer EMT for many years, as well as many countless hours spent volunteering her time to the community. Her true passions were spending time with her grandchildren and being a farmer’s wife while helping around her family’s farm.

Trumbull resident, Leon A. Ginn, 62, passed away Friday, May 18, at CHI St. Francis Medical Center, Grand Island. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday, May 24, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings, with Pastor Martin Leeper officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Trumbull. Memorials may be given to the Leon A. Ginn Memorial Fund. Visitation is 1-7 p.m., with family present 5-7 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Leon was born Aug. 10, 1955, in Superior, to Eugene L. and Wilta “Darlene” (Lyons) Ginn. He was raised in the Clay County area, graduated from Trumbull High School in 1973 and attended CCC. Leon married Shirley M. Clark on March 23, 1975, in the Trumbull United Methodist Church, Trumbull. They were married for 43 years.

Gary Lee “Hank” Krause, 57, passed away Saturday, May 5, at his home near Deweese. Mass of Christian Burial was conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sutton with Father Michael Zimmer officiating. Interment followed at Union Cemetery, 2244 Rd 3300 near Deweese. Casual attire - “come as you are” - per Hank’s request. Visitation was Tuesday, from 1-8 p.m., at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date. Condolences may be left at www.suttonmemorial.com.  Gary “Hank” Krause was born Sept. 5, 1960, in Hebron; to Lolan and Jean (Erthum) Krause. He received his education at Sutton Public School. On March 15, 1980, he married Connie Ebert. Two daughters and a son were born to them; Jason Lee, Jami Sue and Jenny Lyn. He served a number of years on the Sutton Volunteer Fire Department.
