Sutton juniors advance past Fairbury 13-2

Sutton juniors advance past Fairbury 13-2

There was little Fairbury could do to catch up to the Sutton juniors in Sunday’s second round of the Class B, Area 4 juniors tournament in York.

The 13-2 win over Fairbury started with a strong five-run first inning by Sutton. The next few innings would see little to no scoring, as the Mustangs only earned one run in the third, with the Landsharks stuck at zero.

The first time a Fairbury runner saw home plate was in the fifth inning, where the Landsharks earned two runs. However, another big push by Sutton all but secured their win as the boys in red came in for seven runs in the fifth.
