Glenvil resident Lyle L. Judy, 73, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at Brookestone Gardens in Kearney.
Services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 16, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings, with Pastor Kathy Uldrich officiating. Burial will be at Juniata Cemetery in Juniata. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Lyle was born July 23, 1952, in Nelson, to Melvin and Erma (Svoboda) Judy. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1970. Lyle married Sandra K. Wiseman on Nov. 17, 1973; she preceded him in death on Aug. 15, 2013. He worked as a foreman at T-L Irrigation in Hastings for 49 years. Lyle liked spending his time visiting casinos, watching Husker football, and fishing.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sandra K. Judy; brothers-in-law, Ron Wiseman, Chuck Wiseman, and Cliff Wiseman; and sisters-in-law, Liz Wiseman, Diane Averill, and Mary Wiseman.
Survivors include sons Jason (Tonya) Judy of Kissimmee, FL, and Justin Judy of Delphos, KS; daughter Jodi (Brent) Andersen of Kearney; grandchildren, Brayden and Bryce Andersen; siblings and spouses Carol and Ron Duntz of Hastings, Bev and Paul Weber of Glenvil and Steve and Diane Judy of Blue Hill; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Don and Norma Wiseman of Fairbury, Lori Wiseman of Juniata, Lynne Wiseman of Juniata, Rick Averill of Omaha and Colin Wiseman of Juniata; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
