Deloris Jewell (Knox) Schliep went to be with her loving Lord and Savior Aug. 23, 2025, at Parkview Haven in Deshler.

Deloris was born Oct. 13, 1928, in a farmhouse near Fairmont.

Deloris lived on different farms between Fairmont and Geneva until the age of eleven. From then, until she graduated from High School, her family lived in several towns in Nebraska. Deloris graduated from Fairfield High School in 1946. She attended Kearney State College that summer and taught at a country school for the next year.

On Aug. 3, 1947, she was united in marriage to Clarence (Art) Schliep in Hastings. They lived their entire married life in or near Fairfield. They had three children, Richard, Marvin (Bub), and Penny.

Deloris was a deacon in the Fairfield Community Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and enjoyed playing the organ.

Deloris was secretary and treasurer of Chapter #52 of WIFE (Women Involved in Farm Economics). She was the Secretary of State WIFE for two years.

Deloris was a lifetime member of Mary Lanning Hospital Pink Lady Auxiliary.

Deloris is survived by her children, Richard (Carolyn) Schliep of Fairfield, Marvin (Raelene) Schliep of Larkspur, CO, and Penny (Randy) Williams of Davenport; sister-in-law, Karen Knox, of CA; grandchildren, Matthew (Carrie) Schliep, Jennifer (Jeff Ehrke) Bassett, Brandy (Chris) Kissinger, Bronsen (Priscilla) Schliep, Perry (Deanna) Gunn, Jesse (Teresa) Williams and Laura (John) Reed; great-grandchildren, Jacobi (Kelsey) Schliep, Joseph Schliep, Wynn Wilmot, Xaylen Schliep, Shaye Schliep, Carson Bassett, Cailey Bassett, Adyson Kissinger, Kapri Kissinger, Nataliya Schliep, Jaslene Schliep, Blake Gunn, Haidyn Gunn, Elly Williams, Eve Williams, Brocket Reed, Johni Reed, Knoxlee Reed; and great-great grandaughter, Kollyns Schliep; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private family graveside service will be held at the Fairfield Cemetery in Fairfield. Memorials can be sent to the Fairfield Community Presbyterian Church or Manna Resort Christian Camp Fairfield. Online condolences at kroll-masseyfh.com.
